Food technical data sheet: a dynamic database to comply with new regulations
The technical sheet of foodstuffs, with the new regulations, needs to be produced and maintained with a dynamic and shared database, an IT tool that rationalizes the production process.
The technical data sheet for foodstuffs is the main tool for communicating the characteristics of the food product.
Every Food Sector Operator (OSA) must provide the OSA-client with all the information that allows the latter to correctly label (if packer) or the correct information of the consumer (if retailer, restaurateur, administrator, etc.)
The technical data of the foodstuffs must therefore comply with the regulations of the Legislative Decree no.109 / 1992 until 12/12/2014 and of the Regue 1169/2011 from 13/12/2014. The products concerned are: raw materials, semi-finished products, finished foods, additives, technological adjuvants, flavorings, etc.
For this reason it is increasingly necessary to have a dynamic database, able to manage the workflow, to dialogue with the information systems, to update every single field of the food technical data sheets and to update all the communication outputs.
